Why Montessori?
Montessori allows children to thrive. It’s also a philosophy that parents can apply at home to foster self-discipline and focus, partnering with their child in an intellectual and social journey.
By focusing on movement during learning periods and outdoor play, Montessori embraces your healthy, active child.
Montessori meets each child where they are developmentally, with respect, and high expectations for the potential of each child, not just those designated as gifted.
Montessori is designed to support students throughout their life, fostering lifelong skills for confident, curious and empathetic individuals.
Who was Montessori?
Maria Montessori was an Italian physician who specialized in psychiatry and began to develop manipulative materials as she worked with children. She founded a school, the Casa dei Bambini, in 1907. Using the materials she developed as a clinician, the Montessori method was born.
